In this Intense Acting Workshop of Shudrka Hyderabad Shilpitirtha Trust you will learn to become more aware of your senses, observe people and places more closely, and move expressively. You will also learn to use your talents, reinforce your self-confidence, and improve your ability to work with others.

 

To prepare for the stage, you will be introduced to both basic and advanced acting skills such as improvisation, characterization, role preparation, and stage movement. You will be guided through the production process, from selecting a play and its cast to working creatively and safely behind the scenes.

 

This Workshop will give you a solid start in theatre arts— a start that Shudrka Hyderabad hopes will encourage you to take more theatre courses. The group hopes that you will continue to participate in and appreciate the magic world of theatre all of your life. But even if you never enter a theatre again, the group believes that once you have attended this Workshop, you will be more assertive and more confident in your daily life, more aware of your surroundings, more expressive in your communications, and more cooperative in your dealings with others.

This workshop will give the opportunity to perform in a minimum of two full scale productions in a variety of performance venues and to take part in National Theatre Festivals organized by theatre groups across India.

Shri Swapan Mondal, founder-director of SHUDRKA HYDERABAD, is an acclaimed actor, a director and a playwright both nationally and internatinally. He has acted and directed in several Hindi, Bengali and Telugu plays. He has more than three decades of experience in theatre. Shri Mondal is an active member of ASSITEJ India, the Indian chapter of the global organization ASSITEJ.
