COME AND EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF THEATRE!

Psycho-physical training

In this Production-based Acting Workshop of Shudrka Hyderabad Shilpitirtha Trust you will learn to become more aware of your senses, observe people and places more closely, and move expressively. You will also learn to use your talents, reinforce your self-confidence, and improve your ability to work with others.

 

To prepare for the stage, you will be introduced to basic acting skills such as improvisation, characterization, role preparation, and stage movement. You will be guided through the production process, from selecting a play and its cast to working creatively and safely behind the scenes.

 

This Workshop will give you a solid start in theatre arts— a start that Shudrka Hyderabad hopes will encourage you to take more theatre courses. The group hopes that you will continue to participate in and appreciate the magic world of theatre all of your life. But even if you never enter a theatre again, the group believes that once you have attended this Workshop, you will be more assertive and more confident in your daily life, more aware of your surroundings, more expressive in your communications, and more cooperative in your dealings with others.

This workshop will give the opportunity to perform in a minimum of two full scale productions in a variety of performance venues and to take part in National Theatre Festivals organized by theatre groups across India.

WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR:

 

Shri Swapan Mondal, founder-director of SHUDRKA HYDERABAD, is an actor, a director and a playwright. He has acted and directed in several Hindi, Bengali and Telugu plays. He has more than three decades of experience in theatre. Shri Mondal is an active member of ASSITEJ India, the Indian chapter of the global organization ASSITEJ.

  • Do I need acting experience to get selected for the workshop?
    No, Our workshop is open for everyone, whether the applicant has experience or not is not part of our criteria. The only thing that we search for is the candidate's passion and dedication.

  • After submitting my application, what is the waiting period for the application status?
    The waiting period is one to two days.
  • Where can I check my application result?
    We will be sending it via mail to the registered mail id.
  • Am I too old to get into acting now?
    Absolutely not. If this is a dream that you have always had, then honour yourself by joining our workshop!
  • How many students are in a batch?
    Here at Shudrka Hyderabad we pride ourselves on challenging our students and offering lots of individual attention. Therefore class size is limited to 12.
  • Does participation in the workshop imply that I become a regular performer of Shudrka Hyderabad?
    Not necessarily. Induction depends on sincerity and commitment.
  • Do you provide any Certificate?
    On successful completion of the Workshop we would be providing the Candidate with a Certificate of participation.
  • How do I pay for my class?
    Once you are selected for the workshop, we will send you an email with the Payment details. You can make the payment through Cash, Google Pay, PhonePe or send it to our Bank Account directly.
